Due to the national lockdown we will be CLOSED from Thursday 4th November 2020 and will re-open on Thursday 3rd December 2020.
During lockdown we will have take-away baskets available for hire on Wednesdays and Saturdays. These can be booked online. We will also launch an online shop soon with gift packs and paint kits.
You can book tables for before and after these dates on our online booking system - hit the BOOK NOW button to see our current availability.
Please also book a time slot for any pottery collections and any basket returns - we will have non-contact click and collect from our front door.
Please contact us with any queries as we are trying to update everything as quickly as possible in line with government guidelines. We are a small business and appreciate your support during these times.

In-Shop Measures (When we are open)
We have put into place a number of measures to keep our customers and staff safe, which are outlined below.

Tables And Number of Customers in the Shop
The tables in the shop have been reconfigured to allow for 2 metres social distancing. This means there are less tables downstairs (i.e. we have lower capacity for painters) and we will be utilising the upstairs space for painting as well. Both spaces can be booked online and we reserve the right to relocate an upstairs booking to downstairs and vice verse if the numbers of people on the tables becomes too large. Downstairs the tables will be moved to one side to allow for basket collections to come in and stay at a distance.
We have limited the number of customers in the shop to 28 at any one time (across the two floors). There is a maximum of 6 people per table and customers are requested to only book one table of 6 - no large parties are allowed.
There is a suitable space outside the shop for queuing (by the font window), should more customers turn up than can be allowed in the studio.
We encourage all customers with children to ask their children to also adhere to the 2 meters social distancing.
The studio is fully sanitised and cleaned at the end of each working day. Each table will be wiped and cleaned in between each booking and freshly washed paints placed out for the next booking.
All take-away baskets are fully sanitised in between hires and taken straight upstairs for washing.
The toilet area, kitchen, hand washing station and counter will be full cleaned at regular intervals throughout the day
To prevent too many people turning up or leaving the studio at once we have staggered the booking times and put in a 15 minute space after each booking. This limits the risk of queues or overcrowding inside and people passing each other closely. Our online booking system has facilitated this.
Following the government recommendations we have carried out a full risk assessment in relation to Covid-19 and our pottery cafe.
We will have clear guidance on social distancing and hygiene placed at regular intervals in the shop, including on the front door and in the toilet areas.
We have a clearly labelled hand washing station in the downstairs studio and a separate sink in the toilet./ There will also be two hand sanitising stations - one downstairs and one upstairs.
We ask that customers wash or sanitise their hands on arrival and at regular intervals. Our staff will be doing the same.
Handling of pottery and other items / table service
We ask that customers DO NOT touch the pottery on the shelves. Once pottery is chosen, staff will bring the unpainted pottery to the customer. We have full table service for all drinks and snacks.
We ask that all customers stay at their tables for the duration of their stay and our staff will come over to assist and help with any queries and orders etc.
Card Payments Only
We will be taking card payments only for the foreseeable future to avoid additional handling of cash. The iPad (payment terminal) will be wiped and sanitised after each use where a PIN number is requested. We have a contactless payment facility.
We insist that all customers use our online booking facility for tables and take-away baskets to allow us to record customer details for Track and Trace purposes. As mentioned earlier this also assists with us spacing out the tables and number of customers in the studio at once.
Our whole aim is to keep all of our customers and staff members safe. We do ask that customers respect the social distancing rules, our booking system and new procedures in the shop. Any customer who we feel puts the shop, other customers or our staff at risk by not respecting these rules will be politely asked to leave. Information on expected conduct, hand washing and social distancing will be available on signs in the shop.
We will be carefully planning our staffing to have the minimum number of staff on shift at any one point to limit the potential risk. Please respect that if the shop becomes busy our staff will be doing their best to operate with these new rules and procedures in place. Our staff will work side to side rather than face to face and where possible one on each floor of the shop.
Take Away Baskets
We fully appreciate that whilst many customers will feel comfortable returning to the shop to paint, many of you will prefer to paint at home. Our take-away baskets will be continuing on an ongoing basis to cater for this need. Take away baskets can also be made available for collection at the front door fo customers who are shielding. We will request that all deliveries of stock and supplies to the shop will be done at the back door rather than the front to minimise footfall and contact in the shop itself.
Table Sizes and Parties
During this time where we are beginning to open, we will limit the number of people on a table to 6. This means that we will currently not accept bookings for large groups or parties. Parties can be booked as a take-away basket.
