General Data Protection Regulation 2018
Fired Frog Ltd and GDPR
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new EU law that came into effect on 25 May 2018.
This information is to enable you to be updated and made aware of how Fired Frog Ltd is adhering to the GDPR.
There are six areas to GDPR

1. Lawful reason for collecting data.
Fired Frog Ltd collects data to enable communication between our business and our customers. This enables us to teach art and pottery classes and courses in the studio, to provide great pottery painting sessions and to provide appropriate group bookings and parties. Also to make customers aware of new products such as special offers on painting pottery and courses as well as other forthcoming events.
2. Use data only for what it was collated for
Your data is used for us to plan workshops, provide appropriate kids clubs, parties and pottery painting experiences or to enable us to contact you to keep you updated about the sessions you are attending, what you have painted/studied with us and any future events you have displayed an interest in.
You may also have signed up to our regular newsletter to receive updated information and special offers. In which case the only data we may have is your name and email address and only your email address will be used in order for you to receive the information you have opted into receiving and keeping you up to date with additional offerings.
3. Only collect necessary data
Fired Frog Ltd collects the following data;
Email, phone and address contact details. Details of the pottery you have painted for purposes of making sure you collectt he correct pieces. We may also collect additional details such as date of birth for parties and other information such as food preferences for the purposes of providing a good quality service.
4. Keep data accurate & up-to-date
If you opt out to be contact by Fired Frog Ltd this will be implemented as soon as possible. Some of your details may remain in our system for Tax Record Purposes.
5. Only keep data for period necessary
For Tax reasons some data such as receipts of your payments for pottery painting, party bookings, classes and contact details will need to be kept until they are legally no longer required.
Photos can be classed as data…
We make take photos of your painted pottery within the studio. Any photos taken of people within the studio will be done with express permission of each person. This will be backed up by a verbal consent for photos. These photos may be taken and used in marketing materials and on social media such as Facebook.
6. Protect data
Your data is not shared with others (consented photos maybe used to advertise Fired Frog Pottery Cafe). If you have booked a class, pottery painting session or joined the email newsletter then your email address is stored within the relevant website accounts (mailchimp.com for email marketing) which are password protected. All data is safely stored away from public access.
